Greetings!

This is the admin for the site, DominiG! I wrote a lot so I have a Table of Contents and a Summary at the bottom of each long section. But please read!

A: What This Site is About?

The objective of this site is to provide a general message board for blockchain development discussion while addressing a few key issues:

  1. Designing Web3 apps to solve problems in everyday lives
  2. Log the previous failed attempts developers had in Web3 adoption in everyday lives
  3. Cultivating a shared moral framework to help guide what developers work on

Regarding the shared moral framework, I present to you the evidence for the choice of the moral framework I am designing this site around and will advocate to be as our moral framework.

B: READ THIS BOOK… PLEASE!

Admittedly, the book, Dominion, is quite dense. So hear from the author on why he wrote this book to motivate you to invest in this journey!

But let me elaborate on the current problems I see plaguing the industry that motivated me to create this site.

C: Motivation to Build This Site Part 1

Back in 2022, I attended Chainlink’s Smartcon, my first “official” in person crypto event in hopes of job hunting. Long story short, I got the impression that the industry was so small and the amount of people who truly understood blockchain tech was even smaller. What this meant is that for whatever idea you have, if you don’t build it, it won’t happen. I figured since I wasn’t a professional and didn’t have the skills for it, it wasn’t going to be me.

*Disclaimer: It also bears mentioning that I was obsessed with Chainlink and had tunnel vision.

Fast forward to 2025, I attended ETHDenver, once again, attempting to hunt for a now volunteer position at Chainlink. During that time, I joined the hackathon and essentially missed most of the overall conference as I was 100% focused on designing a “Web3 Uber” as my project. Everyone has that idea of a Web3 Uber if your revolve your shower thoughts around crypto. But then I started questioning, and then starting asking around, “Why hasn’t this been built already?”.

I asked around and there were genuine roadblocks to this becoming a reality. There was the concern of costs as oracle costs (this was years prior to this conversation) didn’t make it feasible to pull of projects requiring geospatial data. There was the concern of privacy to not dox your users every movement.

But what I found that was the biggest hurdle to even chasing after such projects was the most important thing; motivation. From my (once again narrow eye), developers just weren’t interested in building a Web3 Uber. And the major enemy that has been sucking away developers’ interest away from building meaningful and sustainable projects is their god, the market for quick profits.

Section C Summary

This industry is tooooo small! If you don't build it, it won't happen! But even then, there are too few projects targeting solving problems in everyday lives. Why? I explain below!

D: Motivation To Build This Site Part 2: The Problem With Meme Coins

Let me first preface and state I had no problem with meme coins. I ignored it but was annoyed at Elon for pushing dogecoin. Then I warmed up to it after Vitalik voiced his thoughts condoning dogecoins during his interview with Lex Friedman. I bought flaunch to on the article David Hoffman from Bankless wrote on creating a memecoin platform equivalent to pump.fun. Even Chainlink’s CEO Sergey Nazarov voiced his approval of meme coins. I even spent maybe $50 or so on Trump coins to show my support for a crypto president. But, to return onrail from my previous point, here lies the problem.

When Bankless voices support for meme coins, it’s an article and the rest of the team researches other happenings in the industry. When the CEO of Chainlink voices support, he might allocate a small team that takes up 2% of company resources while the rest of the company works on other cutting edge and sustainable tech. Now an independent developer looking to get some cash in his pocket? He’ll go wherever the profitable winds flow. And if the market is shouting “SELL MEME COINS! EZ MONEH!”, that’s where the developers will go.

Not only does it cause destruction in individuals’ wealth, as it’s a zero sum game and a tool of wealth extraction from the seller to buyer, not only does it damage the reputation of crypto and lead the masses to believe this is what crypto is about, but it stagnates the industry. Why put your head down to grind out some meaningful project when you can make $100K in a week?

It’s no wonder the permissionless side of the industry is floundering and wondering what the next big thing is in 2026 now that the lack of a foundation built over the last 3-4 years is out in the open.

Thankfully, tools and infrastructure have continued their development unimpeded and are more robust than ever with faster transaction speeds, oracles and other chains for privacy, onramping crypto tools among others. Thus I propose a solution for solving this “directionless” problem in a form of the moral framework, Christianity.

Section D Summary

Meme coins have incited the greed of the industry and stagnated an entire population of independent developers! I propose Christianity as the solution, explained below!

E: Christianity as the Solution

Coincidentally, during my time at Denver, I had also been reading through the book “Dominion” by Tom Holland. This book details the history of Christianity and its impact on the world; namely painting a picture of the state of the world and the absolute absurdity of a so called Son of the Supreme Creator whose supernatural abilities aren’t feats of strength like splitting the moon in two or obliterating his foes in a single fell swoop but acts of healing and caring for those society has forgotten about. More importantly his teachings has spawned a revolution that serves as the cornerstone of Western society. A number of beliefs we, in Western countries, believe to be intrinsic to human nature are in fact mistaken and said teachings were passed directly down from this wandering preacher. Some quick examples of drastic changes that spawned from this revolution:

  • During the Roman times it was acceptable to abandon a baby in a gutter or in other nations it was acceptable for the patriarch or an elder to inspect a baby to see if they were worthy of raising. This practice was abolished by Christianity on the basis that “all souls were equal in the eyes of the lord”
  • During the Roman times, there was one word to describe both “urination” and ejaculation". It was acceptable for the Patriarch of the household to "relieve’ himself with a slave, a young scullery maid, or even the pageboy. Christianity enforced boundaries and moderated sexuality to eliminate this.
    – In addition, men were instructed to cherish their wives, manifesting in the rosy depiction of a man spoiling his wife; “A happy wife is a happy life”.
  • More relevantly, within the judicial system, the moral compass of Christianity generated the ideals “No man is above the law” and “All men are entitled to due process” within the court system.

The last one is particular is an eye opener because businesses have moved far and away from upholding the "spirit of business’. In fact, businesses are obligated by US law to act in the business and interests of their shareholders rather than the benefit of their employees and customers. Smart contracts allow us to quite literally redefine how business is conducted, so it’s clear that businesses must undergo this complete overhaul as the judicial system.

More importantly, Christianity set the framework to ensure an individual is meeting the needs and obligations of their society, avoid impeding on the quality of lives of others and the future, but still give the individual as much freedom as possible to choose what they want to do with their lives and how to live their life but within the direction of whatever they do, they do for the benefit of humanity.

This manifested into extreme levels of cooperation, friendliness, and justice unseen in other cultures as noted by studies on the anomaly of Western, Educated, Industrial, Rich, and Democratic [aka WEIRD] countries. EDIT:The paper has since been locked behind a paywall so here is a direct link With blockchain technology, I see an absolutely draconian environment in how transaction must be accounted for and verified by all participants, none affiliated with one another, in the network. And yet, this environment has gave birth to opportunities only afforded by extreme cooperation.

If you are not religious (or not a Christian), I don’t expect this to be convincing. Not without the commitment to read the book and verify the claims presented in the book (I haven’t verified it either). However, who gets convinced of anything in an hour?

Section E Summary

Christianity built the Western world, set the template for how people treat each other, founded critical ideals of the judicial system, is the cornerstone for cultures in which societies are able to produce extreme levels of creative and novel products. We need to apply this to the crypto field!

F: The Rules

I’ve rambled enough about the point of the site so I’ll wrap up with a couple more sections. First, some quick rules

  1. Be honest. Everyone prefers an honest enemy to a dishonest friend. Honesty helps to confer reliability.
  2. Mind your manners. We’ll be persuading people that crypto is honest and is our new present despite the trust in this field having decayed and rotten 7 times over. So don’t scare off all our future clients.
  3. Aim to understand what others are saying and what they meant. Sometimes they’re not the same and time is wasted when this isn’t set clear.
  4. Aim to clarify and make sure what you are saying is what you meant to say. Same reasons as above.
  5. Aim to avoid committing logical fallacies.
  6. BE HONEST.

G: Goals

I will admit that as of 2026- February 13th, I am rushing this site out for ETH Denver and have plugins I intended to build before growing this community. But I’m not a web developer and I am slow to learn Ruby On Rails and the Ember framework. So I’ll list out the short term goals, the medium term goals, and the ultimate goals of the site.

Short Term Goals

  1. Create a plugin to highlight and log the number of fallacies committed per user.

  2. Create a plugin for a solidity puzzle a user has to solve before they have the ability to post. The puzzle will be solvable if you in a bit of effort into learning solidity. And learning blockchain development will give you an appreciation for the immense power it possesses.

  3. Create one more plugin for yet another puzzle for the security categories for users to showcase a skill they should have.

Medium Term Goals

  1. The Web3 Monastery community implements a project that their own community can participate in that solves a legitimate issue that people face in everyday lives.

  2. Convert this site to be decentralized and more inline with the ideals of Web3. It’s currently running on a single server. And I hold a good deal of authority as the admin of the site too…

Ultimate Goal

RECREATE WEB2 IN WEB3’S IMAGE AND LIKENESS

Beyond just recreating any feasible Web2 service in Web3’s image and likeness, the true endgame for me is when one of you engineers conduct your quarterly visit to your old grade school and give a talk and make some outrageous claim or pledge and a student smuggishly shouts from the audience “Put it in a smart contract!” and the crowd goes “ooooooohhhhh”. This implies the students are well aware of what smart contracts can do and blockchain technology has achieved mainstream adoption.
